The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a well-established fencing manufacturer based in South West Sydney. This is a hands-on management position where you will take full ownership of the warehouse operation, leading a small, close-knit team and overseeing all day-to-day warehouse activities. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, work autonomously and ensure the warehouse operates efficiently, safely and without constant supervision from senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day warehouse operations and lead a small team.
- Oversee stock control, inventory management and stock accuracy.
- Coordinate receiving, picking, packing, freight and dispatch.
- Maintain warehouse organisation,
safety and efficiency.
- Coordinate materials and stock requirements with manufacturing and production.
- Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing a warehouse or distribution operation.
- Proven experience leading and supervising warehouse staff.
- Background in manufacturing, steel, fencing, timber or building supplies highly regarded.
- Current LF Forklift Licence with practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory and warehouse procedures.
- Positive computer skills and experience with ERP systems (Odoo advantageous).
- Robust leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
