Bielby is experiencing a period of sustained growth, supported by a strong pipeline of major infrastructure opportunities and continued expansion into new regions. Building on over 40 years of successful major project delivery, we are seeking a Bid Manager who will lead high-value tenders across major infrastructure projects.

This role will do more than just coordinate and will require someone with a strong technical and commercial understanding. It will suit a seasonal Bid Manager or a Project Delivery Manager that wants to step into the pre-contracts environment and demonstrate their strategic skills.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Lead D&C; and Construct only bids for the full tender life cycle including post-tender clarification, negotiation support and handover
n
- Lead bid kick-off meetings and workshops, ensuring responsibilities, milestones and critical timeframes are explicit
n
- Coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary bid teams ensuring a “one team” approach
n
- Develop and manage the bid strategy, win themes, value proposition and bid execution plan including costs and budget
n
- Coordinate bid/no-bid assessments and provide recommendations addressing strategic fit
n
- Maintain effective relationships with clients, JV Partners, Consultants and Sub-contractors.

About You

n

n
- Knowledge of D&C; and Alliance/JV contracting models, applying a strategic lens to risk and prospect to secure and protect project margins
n
- Demonstrated leadership underpinned by on-site experience, with the ability to provide technical and commercial solutions that provide a distinct competitive advantage in the market
n
- A history of successful D&C; bid and project delivery, demonstrating the ability to lead tenders to highly successful outcomes
n
- Capability to forge trusted, long-term strategic partnerships with clients and lead cross-functional teams toward unified commercial objectives
n
- A strong technical engineering insight and sharp commercial acumen,



ensuring that bids are technically sound and commercially optimised for maximum return on investment
n
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related, with postgraduate qualifications in project management or business viewed favourably.
