CSL is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Scientist specialising in Mass Spectrometry (MS) to join the Molecular Characterisation and Method development cross-IPT team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based at CSL’s global headquarters located in the heart of Melbourne’s vibrant biomedical precinct, this full-time opportunity places you at the center of cutting-edge scientific innovation and product development.
In this role, reporting directly to the Associate Director – Molecular Characterisation, you will play a pivotal part in advancing our scientific capabilities. You will provide essential leadership and hands-on expertise to contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of key mass spectrometry-based analytical methods. These methods are vital for ensuring robust and scalable support across a range of important product development activities.

Key responsibilities
in this position typically include:
* Designing, developing,



and validating robust mass spectrometry-based methods for molecular characterisation.
* Collaborating within cross-functional teams and the cross-IPT to support broader product development goals.
* Providing technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members within the laboratory setting.
* Troubleshooting complex analytical instrumentation and ensuring adherence to high-quality data standards and documentation protocols.
* Contributing to scientific reports, regulatory documentation, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
