This is your opportunity to walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families, ensuring their voices are heard and their cultural needs are met throughout their healthcare journey in Adelaide's northern metro. What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as a cultural liaison between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, their families, and clinical teams across NALHN facilities
- Support patients to navigate hospital systems, appointments, and discharge planning with confidence and dignity
- Work collaboratively within the Kumangka Padninthi Health and Wellbeing Unit to deliver culturally safe, person‑centred care
- Build and maintain relationships with community organisations, Elders, and support services to strengthen continuity of care What You’ll Bring
- Lived experience and a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, communities,
and health needs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively across diverse cultural and clinical environments
- Experience working within a health, community services, or social support setting
- Sound understanding of the barriers Aboriginal patients face when accessing mainstream healthcare
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team within NALHN's Primary Health Care framework To be eligible for this position, you must have a Cert III in Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Certificate III (Practice or Community Care) and or Equivalent/relevant community‑based qualifications. About You: In this role you will have robust interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role. You will be joining a dynamic and expanding Local Health Network that is committed to delivering contemporary, innovative and high‑quality health services within modern facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a passionate, highly driven, dedicated and progressive team. About Adelaide:
