Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Officer will be responsible for:
- High-volume receipting and cash allocation
- Maintaining customer accounts and account records
- Managing aged debt and collection activities
- Following credit control procedures and company policies
- Placing accounts on hold where required in accordance with credit guidelines
- Responding to customer account enquiries
- Providing support to internal sales teams and external stakeholders
- Investigating account discrepancies and resolving issues through to completion
- Building strong relationships with customers ranging from small businesses through to large national organisations
The Successful Applicant
The successful Accounts Receivable Officer should have:
- A proven track record within a similar role
- Strong exposure to cash allocation and receipting
- Experience managing customer accounts and aged debt
- Knowledge of collections and credit control processes
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence handling difficult conversations in a professional manner
- A proactive and inquisitive approach to problem-solving
