Number of Positions Available: 1 ABOUT US The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.
About the Role
Working as part of our Youth Services team, you'll support young people through a combination of group programs, individual coaching, community initiatives, and practical skill-building activities. Partnering closely with Senior Case Managers, you'll help young people develop the confidence, knowledge, and life skills needed to achieve their goals while building robust connections with families, schools, and community networks. No two days are the same. One day you may be facilitating a life skills workshop, the next supporting a young person one-on-one, building partnerships with local schools, or coordinating activities that encourage participation, learning, and personal growth.

- Deliver engaging and evidence-based group programs, including life skills, wellbeing, relationships, budgeting, cooking, and tenancy readiness.
- Provide individual life and living skills coaching and practical support to young people.
- Foster safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive environments for all participants.

- Represent The Salvation Army at community events and initiatives.

- Support safeguarding, duty of care, and workplace health and safety standards across all activities.

- Minimum two years' experience working with young people within community, education, or support services.
- Experience facilitating groups and adapting programs to suit diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Understanding of trauma-informed and psychologically informed practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively while also managing priorities independently.
- Current Driver Licence.
