About the role

We’re looking for a Recoveries Officer who is passionate about customer outcomes and problem-solving. Working as part of our Recoveries team, you will partner with Debt Collection Agencies (DCAs) and internal stakeholders to manage outstanding debt, support customers through tailored solutions, and help drive strong recovery performance across our NAT and retail portfolios. You'll be part of a high-performing team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Day-to-day responsibilities

Day-to-day, you will:

- Action and respond to DCA enquires within target time frames (24 turnaround time)
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding credit management, debt recovery and customer accounting matters
- Support customers experiencing financial hardship by identifying suitable payment solutions and arrangements.
- Monitor outstanding debt and assist in recovery activities to achieve positive customer and business outcomes.
- Contribute to initiatives that reduce bad debt and improve recoveries processes and performance.
- Build strong relationships across the business while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Provide support to the Senior Recoveries Officer and Recoveries Team Leader

Required skills and experience

- Experience in customer service, collections, recoveries, accounts receivable, or a similar environment (highly regarded)




- Understanding of credit or DCA processes, collection techniques, relevant legislation and credit reporting methodologies
- Robust communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to investigate issues, analyse information, and solve problems effectively.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Excel)
- Proactive problem-solver with a passion for exploring deep to develop innovative solutions
- A collaborative approach, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
