The Opportunity:
Hall Contracting is preparing to deliver a significant marine infrastructure revitalisation project in Cardwell , representing a major investment in North Queensland's marine infrastructure. Scheduled to mobilise in early 2027, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-profile project with lasting regional significance.

As a Project Engineer , you will play a key role in coordinating the successful delivery of civil and marine construction activities. Working closely with site leadership and engineering teams, you will be responsible for project planning, procurement, subcontractor coordination, cost tracking, reporting and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

This is a DIDO opportunity, with candidates based in Townsville , Cairns and surrounding areas strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive project delivery through effective planning, coordination, and reporting.
- Monitor programme, productivity, costs, and project performance.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site resources.
- Resolve technical and construction challenges to keep works progressing safely and efficiently.

About You:

- Australian working rights (no sponsorships offered).
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, or Engineer on civil, marine, mining, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience delivering bulk earthworks, marine infrastructure, dredging supports works, reclamation, or coastal protection will be highly regarded .
- Strong understanding of project delivery, construction methodologies, and contract administration.
- Commercial awareness with exposure to cost control, forecasting, and project reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
