Business Analyst – Insurance, Claims & Superannuation

IQ Group is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong understanding of insurance, claims and superannuation to join our consulting team.

This is an chance to work on business and technology transformation initiatives across the superannuation and insurance sectors, with a particular focus on claims management, insurance administration, underwriting and digital transformation.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, architects and vendors to understand business needs, improve processes and translate requirements into practical solutions.

What you will do

- Undertake business analysis activities across insurance, claims and superannuation initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyse current and future-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop business requirements, functional specifications, user stories and process documentation.
- Work with project managers, technology teams, architects and vendors to support solution delivery.
- Support testing, implementation and validation of business solutions.
- Contribute to claims and underwriting transformation, including digital platforms, workflows, APIs and system integrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve claims processes, insurance administration and member experiences.
- Support member and employer communications and document management improvements.





Ideally, you’ll have

- Experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst within superannuation, insurance or financial services.
- A strong understanding of insurance processes, ideally within the superannuation environment.
- Experience across claims management, claims assessment, underwriting or insurance administration.
- An understanding of the relationship between superannuation funds, insurers, administrators and members.
- Experience delivering technology, digital transformation or business improvement initiatives.
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with technology teams and translating business needs into practical solutions.
- Exposure to superannuation administration platforms, ideally Sonata and/or SuperB.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
