Klemm Homes builds thoughtful, personal homes across Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills. Every home is shaped around the people we build it for, with Troy and Carmel Klemm involved in each one from first conversation to handover.

We're creating a new Pre-Construction Coordinator role to support the ongoing growth of our business. You'll manage all of the administration that takes each home from initial deposit, through design, to site start: contract documentation, council lodgements and approvals. You'll also provide administrative support across the business, including the office, the interior design team and marketing. The prospect is flexible, full-time or part-time, depending on the right applicant.

The Role

Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll own the coordination of the pre-construction phase across all active projects and provide administrative support to other departments. Key responsibilities include:

preparing residential building contracts and variations

lodging and tracking council approvals, and following up certifiers and engineers

managing pre-construction workflow, chasing up outstanding items and helping drive improved timeframes through to site start

supporting the interior design team with documentation

managing document control, project files and approval status in SiteBook

owning filing and naming conventions,



so documentation is consistent across the organisation

arranging building indemnity insurance and issuing all prescribed documents

providing administrative support to the office, the interior design team and marketing as needed.

Who We're Looking For

You'll have solid experience in pre-construction or contracts administration with a residential builder. You'll also bring:

hands-on experience preparing building contracts and variations, ideally HIA or Master Builders SA contracts

a sound understanding of South Australian council approvals and the Building Work Contractors Act 1995 (SA)

the ability to read plans, specifications and estimates with a high level of accuracy

strong organisation and follow-up, and confident communication with clients, councils and certifiers

a current driver's licence.
