Senior Ignition / SCADA Engineer

Codida is growing our Ignition and industrial automation capability as demand continues to increase across mining, resources, oil & gas and critical infrastructure.

We’re looking for an experienced engineer who knows Inductive Automation Ignition properly .

Not just someone who has configured a few screens.

We’re interested in an engineer who has designed, built, commissioned and troubleshot production Ignition systems , understands what happens between the field device and the database, and believes modern software-engineering practices have a place in industrial automation.

You’ll work across

- Ignition Gateway and Perspective
- tags, UDTs, alarming and historian
- OPC UA and industrial integration
- SQL and industrial data
- scripting and APIs
- store-and-forward and resilient architectures
- industrial networks and DMZs
- high availability and recovery
- FAT, SAT and commissioning
- Git, testing and deployment automation
- reusable industrial software architectures.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role .

You’ll have the opportunity to provide technical leadership and mentor developing engineers, but we aren't looking for somebody who wants to stop engineering.

- SQL
- Scripting/software development
- Git/source control
- Industrial integration
- Production deployment/commissioning
- Networking/infrastructure fundamentals
- Ability to mentor other engineers

Experience we’d particularly value

- Rockwell FactoryTalk / PlantPAx
- AVEVA/OSIsoft PI
- CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
- OT cybersecurity / IEC 62443
- Mining, oil & gas, energy or critical infrastructure

AWS/Azure, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Siemens, MQTT, BACnet, ISA-95, ISA-101 and alarm-management experience are all useful additions.

But we don’t expect one person to tick every box .

We’re more interested in genuine depth, engineering judgement and your ability to deliver highly reliable industrial systems.
