Experienced Forklift Driver Wanted - Erskine Park
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Forklift Driver / Warehouse Labourer to join our team at our Erskine Park warehouse.
Working within the precast concrete and construction materials industry, this is a hands-on role suited to someone with solid forklift experience in a heavy-materials setting.
The role involves a combination of forklift operation and general labouring duties. You'll be responsible for safely handling and moving large, heavy loads, but equally important is your willingness to jump off the forklift and get involved wherever needed.
We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to be part of a team.
About the Role
Your duties will include:
- Operating a canter-lever forklift to load, unload and move large, heavy materials.
- Safely handling and positioning precast concrete products and other heavy materials.
- Assisting with general warehouse and labouring duties.
- Supporting the team with loading, unloading and preparing materials.
- Maintaining a clean,
organised and protected working environment.
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current and valid LF Forklift Licence.
- Proven forklift experience in precast concrete, construction or a similar heavy-materials setting.
- Confidence handling large, heavy and awkward loads.
- A strong understanding of safe forklift operation and workplace safety.
- A reliable attitude and good work ethic.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to assist with general labouring duties.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Important: This is not a forklift-only position. You won't be on the forklift all day, so you must be comfortable getting off the machine and helping out with general warehouse and labouring tasks as required.
- Current hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm.
- Flexibility may be required to work alternative shifts:
- 5:00am - 2:00pm.
- 10:00am - 7:00pm.
- Applicable shift loadings will apply to alternative shifts.
- Casual rate: $35.00 per hour + overtime.
Immediate start available for the right person.
