About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Braeside, working closely with our Finance Manager to support day-to-day accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.

This role would suit someone with at least approximately 1–2 years of accounting experience in Australia who is ready to develop their skills and gain broader experience within a national business.

Key Responsibilities

To compute and complete periodic accounting and analytical reports to management, covering a wide range of operational processes.

To assist the banking and trade finance funding obligations to domestic and international suppliers, including cash flow and foreign exchange.

To assist in the preparation of budgets, including variances and performance reviews.

To assist in the compliance of accounting standards and practices for the external auditors.

To assist in the national monitoring and improvement of our inventory management and turnover.





To assist in the management of critical operational expenses, including:

o Fixed Assets

o Fleet of vehicles

o GST and BAS

o Fuel Cards

o Leased premises

o Insurances

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

A degree in Accounting or Finance

At least 1–2 years of experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role in Australia.

Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting

Good general IT and systems capability

Robust problem-solving and analytical skills

Good communication and organisational skills

Ability to work across both finance and systems-related tasks

Experience with SAP or other ERP systems will be highly regarded.

An interest in AI, automation and business technology will also be considered an advantage.
