Custom Chemicals International (CCI) is an established, ISO 9001-certified chemical manufacturer based in Narangba, Queensland. We produce a diverse range of industrial, commercial, vehicle care and veterinary chemical products.

We're looking for an organised, reliable and detail-oriented Quality Assistant to join our team on a part time basis.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on position combining quality administration, product inspections and laboratory support.

Working alongside our Quality and Production teams, you'll help maintain accurate manufacturing records, conduct routine quality checks and support our day-to-day quality operations.

No previous quality experience is required. We're happy to train someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain quality records, spreadsheets, registers and manufacturing documentation.
- Review batch paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct routine product, packaging and pallet inspections.
- Assist with production line clearances and quality checks.
- Support product sampling, basic laboratory testing and retained sample management.
- Identify and report quality discrepancies or concerns.
- Assist with quality investigations, improvement activities and general laboratory housekeeping.

About You





We're looking for someone who brings:

- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience in administration, manufacturing or quality control would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is a part-time position offering up to 25 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements available.

Potential arrangements include:

- Shorter shifts across five days, such as 9:00am–2:00pm.
- Longer shifts across three days, such as 7:00am–3:00pm.
- Other suitable arrangements by agreement.

Working days, paid hours and breaks will be agreed with the successful applicant.

This position may be particularly suitable for someone balancing family commitments, studying or looking to return to the workforce.
