Casual Reception / Administration Assistant, Nelson Bay

We’re looking for a casual Reception / Administration Assistant to join our front-of-house team for around 12 to 14 hours a week. An immediate start is available. If you love helping people, give great customer service, thrive in a busy environment and you’re quick on a computer, we’d love to hear from you. This role could suit someone studying exercise science or a related field who wants to see how a busy allied health and fitness studio runs day to day.

About Us

Evado Studios is a physiotherapy, exercise physiology, reformer Pilates, personal training and small group fitness studio in Nelson Bay. Our purpose is to have a positive and lasting impact on the lives, health and wellbeing of our community and team.

The Role

You’ll be the welcoming face of our studio and a big part of keeping things running smoothly. Our front desk is fast-paced, so no two shifts are the same.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to in-person, phone and email enquiries in a timely and suitable manner
- Display a solid understanding of the services at Evado Studios and be able to actively promote them in the context of client enquiries




- Manage appointment and class bookings
- Process payments via EFTPOS and HICAPS
- Handle general admin tasks
- Maintain a clean, professional studio front of house

About You

- You stay calm and organised when things get busy, and you actually enjoy a fast pace
- You’re a team player who’s happy to jump in wherever you’re needed to keep the studio running smoothly
- You’re great with computers and pick up new software and systems quickly
- You’re friendly, approachable and love helping people
- You communicate clearly and follow through
- You have a genuine interest in health and fitness
- Customer service or admin experience is a bonus, but not essential if you learn fast

Availability

- Casual, around 12 to 14 hours a week across two regular weekly shifts
- Immediate start available (January availability is a must)
- From March 2027 you’ll also need to work Saturday mornings, as extra hours on top of your regular shifts
- More hours available when we need leave covered, so being a bit flexible helps
