Summary

Make a meaningful contribution to the safety, wellbeing and effective operation of St Joseph's Primary School, Corinda, in this unique dual-role opportunity.



Working two days per week, with one day dedicated to Risk and Compliance and one day to Work Health & Safety, you’ll help foster a safe, compliant and supportive environment for students, staff and the wider school community.

- Location: St Joseph's Primary School CORINDA
- Work hours: 12 hours per week across 2 days
- Status:Term Time Continuing | Job Share arrangement
- One day dedicated to Risk and Compliance and one day to Work Health & Safety | Tuesday - Thursday (Days negotiable)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

- Overseeing the development, maintenance and operations of relevant systems and resources and recommending improvements to processes and procedures.
- Developing and interpreting legislation, regulations, procedures and other guideline material relating to operations within the school.
- Delivering and advising staff, students, and the school community on policy updates and publishing via appropriate channels.
- Facilitating the completion and report on risk and compliance tasks through the appropriate avenues
- Advising and facilitating the conduct of risk assessments by responsible staff members for school events.

About you





To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

- Expertise in developing, maintaining, and improving operational systems and processes.
- Strong understanding of legislation, regulations, and guidelines to interpret and apply within a school setting.
- Ability to communicate policy updates clearly to a wide variety of groups and stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and reporting on risk and compliance tasks effectively.
- Skilled in advising and facilitating risk assessments for events.
- Tertiary qualification at Associate Diploma/Diploma in a related field
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
