Ocean Import Operator – Freight Forwarding

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 + Super

Due to continued business growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated Ocean Import Operator to join their friendly and supportive team.

Ideally suited to someone with 1–2 years experience in freight forwarding, this is a fantastic opportunity to build on your existing industry knowledge, broaden your operational skills and grow your career within an established business.

What Youll Be Doing

- Registering jobs and maintaining accurate shipment records.
- Collating documentation required for customs clearance.
- Liaising with overseas agents regarding bookings and shipment updates.
- Preparing and sending pre-alerts.
- Processing SCAs, ACAs and EDOs.
- Liaising with customs brokers and monitoring ICs for clearance updates.




- Supporting the smooth movement of ocean import shipments from origin through to arrival.

What Were Looking For

- Ideally 1–2 years experience within international freight forwarding, preferably in ocean imports.
- A valuable understanding of Incoterms.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine team-player mentality.
- A strong work ethic and enthusiasm for building a career in freight forwarding.
