The Role
We are currently recruiting a Mentor Support Worker in Brisbane to provide consistent, ongoing support to a client we have supported for a significant period of time who is transitioning to Brisbane.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for regular, ongoing shifts with an established client and the support of an experienced team.
For us, the person doing the job matters just as much as their experience.
We like people who are easy to be around, can have a normal conversation, read the room and understand that everyone is different. You need to be patient, flexible and comfortable with the fact that some days won’t go exactly to plan.
We’re not looking for someone to come in and take over. We want someone who can build a good relationship, bring some personality to the role and know when to encourage, when to help and when to give someone space.
More than anything, we want good people who genuinely care about doing the job well. A robust understanding of client boundaries is essential. This role also requires a sociable and friendly nature, exceptional communication skills, reliability and resilience.
