Privately owned Transport and Warehousing business located just off the Port of Brisbane.
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Fleet Controller to join our team on the Day Shift.
The role is responsible for delivering quality logistics services to customers while maximizing the profitability and the productivity of the business.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows -
- Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements, to ensure safety to staff, the community and the environment.
- Control and management of the designated fleet.
- Identifying areas of efficiency and process improvement, help setting up for the next shift
- Plan,
monitor and report on designated fleet
- Liaise with customer service on performance to plan and delivery issues / problems.
- Report any and all safety issues and areas of non compliance.
- Drive current initiatives and procedures in a positive manner. This may include fleet scheduling systems, software changes etc.
- Act as a first point of contact for escalated issues relating to the Operations department and support the relationship between customer service and fleet
