MR TRUCK DRIVER / CHIPPER OPERATOR
Hit the daily target — finish early — still get paid eight hours
Bring your manual truck-and-trailer driving experience—we’ll teach you the tree work
WHAT YOU GET
- Regular early finishes—with a full eight-hour day’s pay When the crew completes its daily target safely and to the required standard, we finish early That can mean four to six hours’ work for eight hours’ pay
- STARTING RATE: $33–$37 per hour, plus super Your starting rate reflects your driving experience, relevant industry skills and qualifications This is your starting range, with further pay increases as you build your skills and take on greater responsibilities
- Permanent full time employment, with paid annual leave and personal/sick leave accruing from your first day
- Opportunities to earn daily performance bonuses on top of your hourly pay
- Build your skills and progress Opportunities to move into tower/EWP work and learn pruning and cutting, with the required training and qualifications
- Ongoing work across long‑term council and energy provider contracts
- We invest in you before your first day on site We cover the full cost of the industry training, tickets and inductions you need to get started. We’re looking for someone ready to match that investment with reliability, commitment and a willingness to learn
- Occasional overtime opportunities, depending on workload

FOUR THINGS YOU MUST HAVE
- Current MR truck licence or higher
- Ability to drive a manual truck
- Proven truck‑and‑trailer driving experience—including reversing and manoeuvring
- Current White Card
All four are essential — a licence alone isn’t enough—you must already be confident driving and manoeuvring a truck towing a trailer
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive the truck towing the chipper each day
- Lift and move branches
- Feed and operate the chipper safely once trained
- Keep work sites clean and organised
- Complete daily truck, chipper and equipment checks and maintenance
- Work safely, do your part and help the crew reach its daily targets
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

- A reasonable level of fitness and stamina for repeated lifting and physical outdoor work, and comfort working in changing weather conditions
- Willingness to work hard—some days are more demanding than others
- Reliable attendance and a willingness to learn
- A practical approach to safety
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Check
New to tree work? You can still apply
