As a Civil Engineer with SJM Rail, you are responsible for overseeing critical railway infrastructure projects for our clients.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

- Overseeing contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and service agreements associated with infrastructure and railway projects.
- Monitoring our obligations, key dates, deliverables and compliance milestones throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring relevant requirements are met.
- Overseeing the milestones of our infrastructure and railway projects, ensuring plans and designs are delivered for our clients.
- Identifying and addressing commercial and financial inefficiencies throughout project lifecycles to improve workflows and overall productivity.
- Implementing technical process improvements that streamline and support effective commercial management and project delivery outcomes.
- Working with the Executive team to develop and implement a consistent KPI tracking framework, ensuring KPI monitoring aligns with business objectives, supports performance reporting and promotes team accountability.
- Monitoring milestones within the project lifecycles, assisting effects on costs, specifications, providing recommendations and adjustments where applicable.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications/experience:

- Degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in construction, rail, infrastructure or engineering projects.
- Familiarity with project software platforms such as Procore, Assignar, Aconex, TeamBinder or JobPac.
- Current RIW Card and White Card.
- Awareness of WHS,



IR and environmental compliance obligations in the construction/rail sectors.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail and commerical accuracy, excellent written and verbal communication and high level of accountability and ownership of tasks. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, manage their time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure.
