Specialising in servicing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, we ensure all machinery and vehicles across the Swan Group operate at peak performance.

About The Role

Position Title: Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Business: Swan Heavy Mechanical
Location: Meningie, SA
Employment Type: Full Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Subject to formal qualifications and experience, the Heavy Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for:

Repair and maintain earthmoving plant, industrial plant, agricultural equipment and various commercial and passenger vehicles.

Servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refueling plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs.

Testing, diagnosis and fault finding of hydraulic components, including repair and manufacture of hydraulic hoses.

Testing, diagnosis and fault finding of electrical and air-conditioning equipment, including installation, repair and rewiring of heavy

machinery and equipment

Customer liaison, loading and sales documentation.

Reporting of defects, accidents or violations.





Supervision and development of apprentices, trade assistants and maintenance technicians.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Recognised trade qualification(s)

Robust diagnostic and troubleshooting ability

Experience in mining, civil, transport, or heavy industry environments highly regarded.

Commitment to safe work practices and high-quality workmanship
