Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation – Nelly Bay QLD is seeking a Vessel Master to lead maritime operations across Queensland's marine parks, supporting island communities, conservation, compliance, and visitor safety. You will command vessels up to 24 metres, including the 21m High Speed Landing Barge, and may operate across the broader fleet from Townsville and beyond.
Ideal candidates will have AMSA Master <24m NC, MED 2 and a valid Manual Driver Licence, with a track record of protected leadership in remote environments. Expect deployments, rigorous standards, and a meaningful contribution to Queensland's coast and reef management.
