About the role

Coombes Property Group is a growing private property investment and development group seeking a capable Building Maintenance Technician to join our Sydney-based property team.

This is a varied, hands-on role carrying out minor to large scale building maintenance and repairs across our property portfolio. You will join a hardworking team that takes pride in maintaining our buildings to a high standard and providing responsive service to our tenants.

We are looking for someone reliable and practical who wants a long-term position, enjoys learning recent skills and is keen to take on greater responsibility.

Four-day working week

Enjoy four 10-hour shifts per week, with three rostered days off each week and five consecutive days off every three weeks—a regular extended break without using annual leave.

The rotating roster operates Monday to Saturday, with every Sunday off. Your five-day break runs from Friday through to Tuesday.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out general building maintenance and repairs to building interiors and exteriors.
- Undertake interesting and varied tasks, ranging from minor maintenance and repairs to assisting with large-scale construction projects.
- Identify and report defects and maintenance issues requiring attention.




- Respond to tenant maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and assist with building improvement works.
- Help develop practical solutions for the long-term maintenance of our buildings.
- Maintain safe, tidy work areas and complete work to a high standard.
- Assist with supervising external trades as required, with opportunities for additional income through after-hours supervision.

About you

- Have practical experience in building maintenance, general repairs or a relevant trade.
- Take pride in your work and have strong attention to detail.
- Be confident using tools and finding practical solutions to maintenance problems.
- Be reliable, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be well presented and communicate clearly with tenants, colleagues and contractors.
- Be willing to learn new skills and take on a variety of tasks.
- Have a stable employment history and be looking for a long-term opportunity.
- Be available to work the rotating roster, including Saturdays.
