The Role

Reporting to the senior finance operations lead, you will support the Finance Manager/CFO and wider finance team with day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

- Manage fortnightly payroll, including starters, leavers, adjustments and staff system onboarding and offboarding; oversee payroll compliance, multi-state monthly and annual payroll tax lodgements and quarterly superannuation payments.

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, supplier invoices and records, payment runs, corporate credit card reconciliations and staff expense claims.





- Support month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting workpapers.

- Assist with monthly, half-year and year-end reporting, financial statements and management and stakeholder reports in accordance with AASB/IFRS requirements.

- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow forecasting; manage bank reconciliations, cash monitoring and appropriate payment controls.

- Prepare BAS/GST lodgements and workpapers, support FBT and income tax compliance, and liaise with external tax advisers as required.

- Support statutory and listed-company reporting under senior finance guidance; prepare audit schedules and documentation and respond to external audit queries.

Your Background

We are looking for an accountant with 2-3 years of relevant experience and hands-on payroll experience in a previous role. You will also bring:

- Immediately available to start
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; CA/CPA qualification or progress towards it is desirable, not essential.

- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including AASB/IFRS, and advanced Excel skills.

- Experience in an ASX-listed environment and knowledge of ASX Listing Rules are advantageous.
