This position provides high-quality administrative support to the Economic Development team, contributing to initiatives that support business growth, tourism and regional prosperity, while building and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Benefits and conditions

Conditions of employment are prescribed by the Local Government Officers’ (WA) Award 2021 with a salary payable for this position of Level 4, $74,120 to $78,415 per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience:

- Permanent part-time role, working 48 hours per fortnight at our Australind Administration office.

- Four weeks paid annual leave, pro rata, including a 17.5% leave loading





- Superannuation of 12% occupational superannuation from date of commencement, with an opportunity that the Shire will match an employee’s voluntary contribution to their nominated plan provided that employee contributes an amount of at least 5% or 6% of their own salary.

- Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.

- A medical examination and a current police clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.
