CareerMode has been engaged to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing business.
This is a fantastic chance for an Assistant Accountant looking to broaden their technical accounting experience and take ownership of a diverse range of financial responsibilities within a hands-on commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
- Post month-end accruals, provisions and journal adjustments
- Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation
- Process foreign currency payments and reconcile related accounts
- Complete daily bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow forecasting
- Provide documentation and support for external audits
- Prepare AASB 16 lease and deferred tax schedules for statutory reporting
- Accounts payables
About You
- Working towards your CA or CPA qualification
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar financial accounting position.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and month-end processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience within a manufacturing or commercial environment will be highly regarded.
