About The Role

Pyramid Global Technologies is seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality APIs for mobile applications. You will work within a squad or tribe, collaborating closely with business partners, developers, and other team members to deliver agreed solutions and schedules. Under the guidance of the Squad Chapter Lead, you will contribute to implementation decisions while taking responsibility for your own deliveries and supporting shared team outcomes.

Qualifications

You bring extensive commercial experience with Java 7 and Java 8,



along with a strong understanding of backend development. Comprehensive knowledge of Apigee and the Spring Framework is essential, including Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring OAuth2, Spring AOP, and Spring Data. Experience with Spring Boot and microservices is desirable.

You are comfortable using a range of open-source tools and integrated development environments, and can work effectively across Linux, Windows, and Unix systems. You understand Agile methodologies and practices and can collaborate constructively in an iterative delivery environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are important, as is the ability to investigate issues, evaluate options, and deliver thoughtful solutions.

You are a fast learner with a genuine interest in developing current skills. A can-do attitude, personal accountability, adaptability, and willingness to share knowledge will help you thrive in this team. You should be comfortable communicating with technical and business colleagues and contributing positively to a team culture with no egos.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain Java APIs that can be securely and reliably consumed by mobile applications. Apply appropriate Spring technologies and sound engineering standards to build solutions that are maintainable, scalable,



and aligned with agreed requirements. Work with Apigee and related tools as needed to support API delivery and integration.

Collaborate with business stakeholders and squad members to clarify needs, agree on implementation approaches, and deliver business initiatives according to established schedules. Participate in Agile planning and delivery activities, communicate progress and risks, and raise issues early. Take ownership of assigned work from implementation through delivery, ensuring quality and accountability.

Contribute ideas, share technical knowledge, learn from colleagues, and support the team in achieving collective goals.
