About us

Three Cheers Bartending is a mobile bartending business. We turn up to people’s houses, backyards and private venues and run the bar for the night. 21sts, 30ths, engagement parties, hens, Christmas parties, that sort of thing. The host supplies the drinks, we bring the kit and the people. We’ve been doing this in Sydney for a while and we’re now getting started in Melbourne, so you’d be one of the first on the team here.

What the job actually is

Most gigs are 3 to 5 hours on a Friday or Saturday night, somewhere between 20 and 100 guests. It’s standard drinks, beer, wine, spirits and mixers, the odd straightforward cocktail if the host asks for it. You keep the bar area tidy and you’re the friendly face everyone gravitates to. You set up before guests arrive and pack down after. Some nights it’s just you, some nights there’s two or three of us.

What we’re looking for

Current Victorian RSA

At least a year or two behind a bar

Someone who’s chatty and switched on. You’re in someone’s home, not behind a venue bar,



so you need to read the room

Reliable. If you say you’ll be there at 6, you’re there at 5:45

Your own car (gigs are all over Melbourne and often finish late)

Available most Friday and Saturday nights

Nice to have

Experience with private or mobile events

Keen to take on more responsibility as we grow here. We’ll need someone to lead the Melbourne side of things fairly soon and we’d rather promote from within

What you get

Hourly rate paid for the full shift including set up and pack down

No cleaning a venue at 3am, no split shifts, no standing around on dead nights

Regular weekend work once we’re rolling A small team where you actually know the owner

Pay: $26.44 – $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 6.0 per week
