As a Pre and Post Worker with Lives Lived Well, you'll walk alongside people as they navigate key stages of their recovery journey, helping them access treatment, prepare for change and successfully transition back into the community.

Based across our Cairns and Shanty Creek/Mareeba locations, you'll play a key role supporting participants to maintain recovery, strengthen support networks, reconnect with community and build greater independence. This role requires work to be undertaken across both office locations.

Requirements

- Experience in counselling, case management, client support or care coordination.
- Strong assessment, engagement and risk management skills.
- Knowledge of person-centred, recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice.




- Experience using evidence-based approaches to support behaviour change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
- Resilience, emotional intelligence and a calm, non-judgemental approach.
- Confidence working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Behavioural Science, Human Services or a related discipline, and/or demonstrated equivalent clinical experience in the Alcohol and Other Drug, Mental Health or Community Services sector.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check.
