GENERALIST CLASSROOM TEACHER FTE .8 4 days a week

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for a fixed-term position of Classroom Teacher to commence in Term 2 2027. The position commences on 21st April 2027 until 25th June 2027. Applicants eligible for Permission to Teach are encouraged to apply. This is a position under the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.

- To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;
- To provide students with a rich and engaging educational experience;
- A willingness to teach F-6 and fulfil a range of teaching roles.
- Ensure the delivery of curriculum that reaches and engages students with a diverse range of educational abilities and backgrounds;
- A collegial and collaborative approach to learning and teaching.

Key Selection Criteria-

- Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
- Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice,



evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
- Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
- Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.

About Us

St Joseph's School serves the community of Red Cliffs, in the Sunraysia Region of Victoria. In 2008 we celebrated the commencement of the school by the Mercy Sisters 75 years ago. We maintain a Mercy ethos, though the last of the sisters finished their involvement in 2002. We have fantastic facilities, educationally, technologically and visually. A new multi-purpose hall will be completed in 2010. We have a strong teaching and learning program and focus on meeting the individual needs of our children.
