About the Role

As the business invests in project initiatives and new business growth, this current role has been created to lead the commercial finance behind them. You’ll report directly to the CFO and work closely with project managers, FP&A;, the new business team and the leadership team. It’s an individual contributor role, so your time goes into analysis and commercial work. Your responsibilities will include:

- Working with project managers to size the value of projects and initiatives from commencement through to execution and post-execution analysis.
- Tracking what each project delivers and building a clear process for what to pursue, pause or stop.
- Writing, testing and owning business cases for new business opportunities.
- Partnering with the new business team on pricing.
- Building templates so future business cases are quicker and more consistent.
- Packaging savings and performance results for customers, including regular review sessions and presentations with customers.
- Attending new business meetings and presenting to customer commercial managers and directors.
- Lifting commercial thinking across the finance team and with project managers.
- In your first three months, you’ll focus on savings and set up the governance around them. By six months,



you’ll be working across new business and building out business case templates.

About You You’re a commercially minded finance professional who builds business cases yourself, from the raw numbers through to the final presentation. You’re comfortable when priorities change quickly, and you’ll be curious to find answers and solutions and put them into action.

You will bring

- Experience as a Senior Finance Business Partner or Commercial Manager, or in a similar commercial finance role.
- A track record of building business cases from scratch, including financial modelling and analysis.
- Confidence presenting to senior internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to influence people who don’t report to you.
- Comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to switch between priorities quickly.
- Logistics, transport, distribution or supply chain experience is highly regarded. Similar route- or site-based industries will also be considered, such as waste management, FMCG or industrial.
- CA/CPA qualification advantageous.

- $180,000–$200,000 base + superannuation + 15% bonus (experience and selection criteria dependent).
