Contract Administrator – Class 2 Residential

I'm currently recruiting for a Contract Administrator to join an established, award-winning Tier 2 builder based in Sydney.

The business has a strong reputation for delivering quality residential developments and is looking for an experienced CA to join its commercial team, overseeing Class 2 residential projects valued between $50M–$100M.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established builder on high-quality developments while gaining exposure to senior leadership and taking ownership of key commercial packages.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering and trade package negotiations.
- Prepare scopes of work and administer head contracts and subcontracts.
- Review progress claims, variations, payment schedules and final accounts.
- Monitor project budgets, cost reports, cash flow and contractual risks.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, consultants and subcontractors.
- Identify and resolve commercial and contractual issues throughout project delivery.




- Maintain accurate contract documentation and ensure contractual compliance.

About You

- 4+ years' experience in Contract Administration within the Australian construction industry.
- Previous experience delivering Class 2 residential or multi-storey developments.
- Strong understanding of subcontract administration, procurement and commercial management.
- Confident managing trade packages and negotiating with subcontractors.
- Strong communication, organisation and commercial problem-solving skills.
- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Building or a related discipline preferred.
