ERINFAIR PTY LTD T/AS Bunbury Farmers Markets, is currently seeking experienced Chefs and Cooks to join their kitchen team at two locations: Glen Iris (Bunbury Farmers Markets) and Vasse (Vasse Village by Bunbury Farmers Market).

Position Summary The Chef/Cook will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day preparation and production of high-quality food across à la carte and function service. The role involves preparing menu items to a consistent standard, operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, and working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service.

The successful candidate will contribute to stock control and waste minimisation, maintain food safety and HACCP compliance, and support the ongoing improvement of kitchen operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who works well under pressure, takes pride in quality and consistency, and communicates effectively within a busy team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Demonstrate understanding of food preparation and production in the kitchen whilst taking direction from the Head Chef to ensure smooth operation of all kitchen duties.

- Ensures the consistency of all menu items regardless of time of day or period of service

- Liaising with Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Assistants to achieve smooth delivery of food to guests

- Operation of kitchen equipment to achieve required results for ala carte and function service

- Work with the Head Chef to advance and improve current food operations





- Has understanding of stock control and works together with the kitchen team to minimize wastage

- Compliance and understanding of food safety policy and procedures (HACCP)

Qualifications and Experience

- Previous commercial kitchen experience is required for these roles

- All relevant experience will be considered. For applicants with a relevant Australian trade certificate or qualification / training, less experience will be considered
- A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude and ability to work well in a team
- The ability to excel under pressure in a high-volume environment with excellent problem-solving skills

- Well-developed communication and team skills

- Attention to detail with a focus on consistency
