About Us THE KARTHIKEYA WA PTY LTD owns and operates several Indian restaurants in Western Australia, including Sizzle N Sambar in East Victoria Park. Sizzle N Sambar has a strong reputation in the local community for authentic Indian food made with quality ingredients and traditional techniques. Our group also includes Sizzle N Sambar Nedlands and our recently opened restaurant, Mumbai Se Marina in Willetton. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated full-time Chef to join our kitchen team.

About the Role The Full-Time Cook will prepare high-quality meals, maintaining consistency and food safety standards across all kitchen operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect ingredients and foodstuffs to ensure quality prior to preparation

Monitor and regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and cooking equipment

Prepare, cook, and present menu dishes using a variety of cooking techniques

Season food appropriately throughout the cooking process

Portion dishes and finish with gravies, sauces, and garnishes for service





Store food correctly in temperature-controlled facilities per food safety standards

Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary and allergen requirements

Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control across all dishes

Uphold food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent recognised qualification

Minimum 1 year of post-qualification full-time (or equivalent part-time) relevant experience as a Cook

If no trade qualification, then a minimum of 3 years of full-time (or equivalent part-time)

relevant experience as a Cook

Experience in authentic Indian cuisine

Knowledge of regional Indian cooking styles

Job Type: Permanent Full time

Salary: AU$ 80,000 – AU$ 85,000 per yea (plus Superannuation)
