Benefits Due to continued business growth and strong customer demand, Ha Long 2 Restaurant is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. Task &

responsibilities The successful Candidate will possess: MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare, season and cook authentic Vietnamese and Asian cuisine according to established recipes and standards. Prepare ingredients including cutting, portioning, marinating and storing food products. Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control standards.

Assist with menu planning and development of new dishes. Monitor stock levels, stock rotation and food storage procedures. Assist with ordering food supplies and maintaining inventory records. Train and guide kitchen hands and junior kitchen staff.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements. Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Minimise wastage and support productive kitchen operations.

Qualification &

EXPERIENCE Qualifications: AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, or at least 3 years relevant experience.

Experience: Minimum 3 years commercial cooking experience, preferably in Vietnamese or Asian cuisine.



Demonstrated experience preparing and cooking Vietnamese and/or Asian cuisine in a commercial kitchen environment

- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements;

Experience training or mentoring junior kitchen staff is advantageous;

Experience with food preparation, cooking, stock control and inventory management

- Cook grade 5 (tradesperson) (wage level 6) means a chef de partie or equivalent who has completed an apprenticeship or passed the appropriate trade test in cooking, butchering, baking or pastry cooking.

Skills: Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced, high-volume kitchen

- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality meals
- A positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.
