Artisan Ornaments is a family run small business of Christmas pop-up shops operating since 2009 in major shopping centres across NSW.

We are looking to hire a driver & logistics staff member to help with our deliveries through November-December. This is a 2 month job, with a start date of ~9th November and a finish date of 24th December. There is additional work available in January as well.

Shifts are Monday to Friday. From 9th November till 26th November they run for about 7-8 hours per day. After the 26th of November they start to increase to 10, then 12 and sometimes 14-15 hours a day getting close to Christmas. Applicants must be comfortable with long hours/shifts.

The job requires a morning pickup of stock from our warehouse in Artarmon (Christmas items - baubles, stockings, snowglobes) and driving to 5-8 major shopping centres across Sydney each day. Each store needs to be re-stocked and their supplies checked.

Pay rate is $37 per hour. Van provided, all fuel and tolls paid for. Training provided.

Successful applicants would have the following qualities:

· Hard working/strong work ethic

· Ability to work autonomously/unsupervised

· Proactive problem-solving skills

· Physically solid – able to lift heavy furniture and work long shifts (up to 15+ hours)

· Able to work the full period, including Christmas eve 24/12

· Attention to detail - not forget things

· A valid drivers license

Applicants must be familiar with driving vans. Bonus if you have driven light trucks (standard license) before.

If you have any experience with warehouse & distribution work, delivery driving in a van, furniture removals or basic handyman skills with tools, please include this in your application.

Strong preference will be given to applications which include a bit about yourself, your prior relevant experience and why you think you would be a good fit for the job.

International WHV workers welcome, but you must have a current overseas licence, with an International Driving Permit or translation if it’s not in English.

Successful applicants will be invited to some (paid) trial shifts.
