Grace Quality Care is looking for a reliable , mature and experienced disability support worker to assist an adult who uses a powered wheelchair. The role involves personal care, daily routines at home and getting out in the community.

He communicates verbally and can guide you on how he likes to be supported, including how to position him comfortably in his wheelchair. We’re looking for someone who listens, follows his directions and respects his preferences.

What you’ll be doing

- Assisting with dressing, personal care and showering using a shower commode.
- Carrying out transfers using a sling and hoist, following his individual manual handling plan.
- Helping him settle into a safe and comfortable position in his powered wheelchair.
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking as required.




- Helping with light household duties.
- Supporting community outings. The family has a vehicle available for outings.

What we’re looking for

- Hands-on experience using a sling and hoist for transfers.
- Experience with personal care, shower commodes and wheelchair positioning.
- A respectful approach, valuable communication and the ability to follow individual support plans.
- Reliability and availability to work in Aspendale area
