We are currently seeking applications from experienced Drillers for our Callide Project, on a 4/5/5/4/5/5 roster, DIDO .

Role Overview

As a Driller with Action Drill & Blast, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating blast hole drill rigs at our Callide projects.

Working closely with the Drill Supervisor and site teams, you will deliver accurate and consistent drilling performance while maintaining equipment, meeting production targets and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site requirements and company safety standards. You will be part of a supportive, high-performing team, with opportunities to develop your skills across a range of drill rigs and projects.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Manager or their delegate, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Safely and efficiently operate blast hole drill rigs to meet daily production targets and drilling requirements.





Accurately drill blast holes to the required depth and specifications, maintaining consistent hole quality.

Monitor ground conditions and drilling performance, promptly reporting any changes or issues that may impact operations.

Complete routine rig inspections, pre-starts and basic maintenance, reporting faults or equipment issues as required.

Complete accurate daily production reports and operational documentation in accordance with site requirements.

Maintain a strong safety focus by following site procedures, identifying hazards and completing required risk assessments.

Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to be trained and operate a variety of drill rig platforms across the Action Drill & Blast fleet.

About You

Demonstrated experience operating blast hole drill rigs in an open-cut mining environment, preferably within the coal industry.

Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to follow site procedures, identify hazards and maintain safe work practices.

Reliable and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The right to live and work in Australia on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

Current Australian Driver Licence.

Standard 11 Statement of Attainment.

RII for Blast Hole Drilling - RIIBHD301D/E.

RII for Vehicle Loading Crane (Desirable)

RII for Conduct Lifting Operations (Desirable)
