We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Casual Echocardiographer to join our mobile healthcare team in Sydney.
In this role, you’ll perform echocardiograms at nursing homes and private residences across the Sydney metropolitan area, providing high-quality cardiac imaging services directly to patients in the comfort of their own surroundings.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms using portable ultrasound equipment at nursing homes and private residences.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Operate and maintain portable ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Complete accurate patient documentation and ensure examinations are submitted correctly for reporting.
- Travel throughout Sydney and manage appointments efficiently.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain skilled standards across all clinical settings.
Requirements Qualifications & Accreditation
- Current accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Current CPR certification.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing echocardiograms.
- Experience in mobile, community, or aged care settings is preferred.
Clinical Skills
- Proficient in performing transthoracic echocardiograms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with elderly patients and those with complex healthcare needs.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and patient care.
Other Requirements
- Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport for travel across Sydney.
- Flexible availability for casual shifts, including weekdays and occasional weekends.
- Ability to adapt to different clinical environments and manage time effectively.
