Astill's Electrical is growing its Brisbane team, and we're looking for an experienced Solar Electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys variety and wants to be part of a great team.

With a strong pipeline of work across Brisbane and surrounding areas, you'll be kept busy with a mix of solar installations, battery systems and general electrical work.

We're after a reliable, motivated sparky who knows their stuff, works safely and enjoys getting the job done right.

The Opportunity

You'll be part of our growing Brisbane operation, delivering quality solar and electrical services across residential and commercial properties.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Installing, testing and commissioning residential and commercial solar PV systems.
- Completing solar maintenance, repairs and fault-finding.
- Installing and commissioning battery storage systems, where appropriately accredited.
- Undertaking general electrical installations, repairs and maintenance.
- Diagnosing electrical and solar faults and delivering practical solutions.
- Working alongside apprentices and other tradespeople.
- Completing accurate job documentation, testing records and customer handovers.
- Maintaining safe work practices and high standards of workmanship.

What You'll Bring

Essential

- Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence.
- Current SAA accreditation for grid-connected solar PV installation.
- Demonstrated experience installing, testing and commissioning solar PV systems.
- Experience in general electrical installations and fault-finding.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Current driver's licence.
- Robust commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
- Good communication, organisation and time management skills.

Highly regarded:
- SAA battery installation accreditation.
- Battery installation and commissioning experience.
- Commercial solar installation experience.
- Air-conditioning qualifications or split-system installation experience.
