Electrician

CK Recruitment is seeking a qualified Electrician for a local council role based in Rooty Hill. You’ll help keep council buildings and infrastructure safe, compliant and operating efficiently by carrying out maintenance, repairs, installations and electrical testing.

About the role

You’ll work across a range of council facilities and infrastructure, responding to maintenance needs and diagnosing electrical issues. You’ll also support apprentices on the job and contribute to dependable services for the local community.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs and installation work across council buildings and infrastructure.
- Install, maintain and repair wiring, electrical equipment and related systems.
- Diagnose faults, identify the cause of electrical issues and complete repairs.
- Test systems and equipment to confirm they are secure and operating correctly.
- Complete work in line with relevant electrical standards, regulations and Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Keep accurate records of completed work, testing and identified issues.
- Provide guidance and practical support to apprentices.
- Work with colleagues and other teams to deliver reliable maintenance services.

About you

You’re a safety-focused electrician who takes pride in quality work and reliable service. You can work independently, communicate clearly with colleagues and customers,



and help apprentices develop their skills.

You’ll bring

- Electrical qualifications and the licences required to perform electrical work in NSW.
- Experience in electrical maintenance, repairs and fault finding.
- The ability to install, maintain and test wiring and electrical equipment.
- A sound understanding of electrical standards and Work Health and Safety requirements.
- A practical, organised approach to diagnosing issues and completing work.
- Clear communication and a willingness to support apprentices.
