Boilermaker / Fabricator - Rotating Equipment

FindStaff is seeking an experienced Boilermaker / Fabricator to join a leading engineering and industrial services business based in Dandenong South.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a trade-qualified Boilermaker who enjoys precision fabrication, welding and repair work on specialised industrial equipment. Working in a well-equipped workshop, you will be involved in the repair, refurbishment and manufacture of components used across a range of heavy industrial applications.

We're looking for someone who is not only a skilled welder and fabricator, but also mechanically minded and capable of problem-solving when working on unique repair and manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform MIG and TIG welding repairs on industrial components and equipment
- Carry out weld repairs and refurbishment of shafts and rotating equipment
- Fabricate and manufacture components for rotating machinery
- Manufacture and repair parts for pulleys, screw conveyors and associated equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and workshop specifications
- Assist with fitting, assembly and repair activities as required
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Maintain a protected, clean and organised workshop environment

Hours

Monday - Thursday: 07:30am - 04:30pm

Friday: 07:30am - 01:30pm

About You

To be successful in this role,



you will possess:

- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Fabricator or equivalent
- Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding
- Strong fabrication and repair experience within an engineering or industrial workshop
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety

Highly Regarded

- Experience working on shafts, rotating equipment or industrial machinery
- Fitting and assembly experience
- Experience with conveyors, pulleys and other bulk materials handling equipment
- Forklift, Dogging or Overhead Crane tickets
- Experience within mining, manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
