Promptu seeks a talented, energetic, inventive software engineer with iOS development experience to take the company’s client software to the next level.

You will work with our team of smart, creative engineers to build next generation apps for a variety of devices, environments and application domains. Our products feature AI-powered recommendations, creative UI components, rich user experiences and more. Your contributions will have a big impact on the company.

Responsibilities

Researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating system program needs

Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards

Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods

Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs perform to specification

Writing, updating and maintaining technical programs, end user documentation and operational procedures

Managing testing and automation of software and application deployments

Developing continuous improvement and continuous delivery strategies across system design and software development





Creation and development of the tools required to support software and its management and security

Identification and mitigation of risks that may affect the performance and security throughout the lifecycle of the product.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field

Expert iOS/SwiftUI programmer

3+ years experience in mobile client development

Experience with Git version control

Object oriented design skills

Excellent spoken and written English

Ability to work well in a small team The ideal candidate will also have experience with some or all of the following:

UIKit

Figma

CI/CD practices iOS framework development

Firebase SDKs and client libraries

Automated testing

Performance measurement and optimisation Google Analytics

Java or Javascript

Node.js, Next.js, and React

YouTube APIs

Client-server protocols such as HTTP and Google protobufs

Python

Linux development

Android SDK

You will report to the Director of Mobile Applications, who is based in the Queensland office. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. Promptu offers competitive salaries and perks. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skill level.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
