About the Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be supporting participants to achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence in a secure and positive environment. Every day will bring variety — from personal care to community engagement and skill-building activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care, including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Support participants in daily living activities such as meal preparation, household tasks, assistance with administering medication, manual handling, etc.
- Assist with community access, social outings, and recreational activities.
- Follow Behaviour Support Plans and organisational policies.




- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and shift reports.
- Communicate effectively with participants, families, and other team members.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Essential Requirements

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card – Tasmania.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- COVID-19 Vaccination (as per current health requirements).
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.

Desirable Qualifications

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability or Aged Care) or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, disabilities or behaviours of concern.

Job Type: Casual Pay: $38.00 – $44.00 per hour
