In return, you'll have the backing of an established Tasmanian business, experienced colleagues, a strong pipeline of work and an employment package that offers considerably more than just your hourly rate.

As part of our Fire Protection team, you'll work across the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and repair of fire sprinkler systems, hydrant systems and fire pumps. You'll have the opportunity to work across different sites and project environments, from new construction through to existing facilities requiring maintenance, upgrades and modifications.
Your responsibilities will include

- Completing accurate service records and project documentation
- Maintaining safe, clean and organised work areas
- Building positive working relationships with customers and other trades on site
You'll be trusted to take ownership of your work, with the support of an experienced team and managers who understand the industry.

We're looking for someone who brings practical experience, good technical knowledge and a professional approach to their work.
You'll ideally have
- Demonstrated experience working with fire sprinkler and hydrant systems
- Experience installing, maintaining, testing and repairing fire protection systems
- A sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards and compliance requirements
- The ability to read and interpret plans and hydraulic drawings
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a commitment to quality workmanship
- The confidence to work independently and contribute to a team
- A current unrestricted driver's licence
- A Construction White Card
- The ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory police check
Qualifications and experience we'd value:
- A trade qualification in Fire Protection, Plumbing or a related field
- Experience with fire pump systems and hydraulic calculations
- Working at Heights certification
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Additional fire protection industry qualifications
We value experience and a willingness to keep learning. If you have a strong background in sprinkler fitting but don't tick every desirable qualification, we'd still encourage you to apply.
