About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join a busy freight and logistics operation based at the Port of Brisbane.

This role involves operating forklifts to safely load, unload, move, and store a variety of freight, including palletised goods, industrial equipment, containerised cargo, and oversized loads. The successful candidate will have experience working in industrial, transport, freight, or logistics environments and be comfortable working both indoors and in outdoor yard operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
- Move and store freight using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Handle palletised goods, industrial equipment, and oversized cargo.
- Organise stock and freight within warehouse and hardstand storage areas.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and report equipment issues.
- Ensure loads are secured and transported safely.
- Assist with freight preparation, dispatch, and stock movements.
- Complete freight and delivery documentation as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Support general warehouse and yard operations.

Requirements Essential ✅ Current LF Forklift Licence

✅ Forklift operating experience in a freight, transport, logistics, or industrial workplace





✅ Strong focus on workplace health and safety

✅ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operation

Highly Desirable

✅ Experience loading and unloading trucks and trailers

✅ Freight forwarding, transport, or logistics experience

✅ Knowledge of load restraint requirements

✅ Experience working in outdoor yard or hardstand environments

Desirable

✅ Container loading and unloading experience

✅ Experience handling oversized or heavy freight

✅ Exposure to port, industrial, or project logistics operations

✅ Experience operating larger forklifts (5T to 16T)

Preferred

✅ Current driver's licence

✅ Reliable transport

About You

You are an experienced forklift operator with a background in freight, transport, logistics, warehousing, or industrial operations. You work safely, take pride in your work, and are confident handling a variety of freight in a busy operational environment.
