WHITEHOUSE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES Pty Ltd Whitehouse Construction Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join its team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work on a range of construction projects across the Perth Western Australian Metro Area. Review construction drawings, specifications and formwork plans to work out the materials, dimensions and sequence needed for each pour.
Select and prepare timber, plywood and other formwork materials, and set out layouts to match the required project dimensions. Measure, cut, shape and assemble formwork components, including cutting joints and fitting parts so they are ready to install. Build and erect formwork systems for concrete slabs, walls, columns, beams and foundations, and check that finished structures are true, square and level.
Erect and secure shutters, bracing,
props and temporary support structures so formwork stays reliable and accurate during concrete placement. Set out and align formwork to the specified dimensions and levels, and verify trueness before and during pours. Assemble prepared formwork components into structures and fittings ready for installation on commercial projects.
Strip and dismantle formwork once concrete has cured, and repair or refurbish reusable formwork components and equipment for future projects. Use hand and power tools to fabricate, modify and finish formwork components on site. Calculate material requirements and prepare formwork materials for upcoming construction activities.
