Glenbernie Orchard is looking for friendly, reliable and customer-focused people to join our Front of House team. Multiple positions are available.

We're a sixth-generation family-owned working orchard in Darkes Forest, home to Darkes Cider, a farm shop, kitchen and bar. Our venue welcomes visitors for locally made cider, great food, fresh produce and farm experiences.

We're looking for people who enjoy hospitality, take pride in their work and are happy to get involved in all aspects of running a busy venue.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on position combining hospitality, retail and the unique experience of working on a family-owned orchard.

You'll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience for our visitors while helping keep the venue running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing friendly, efficient customer service in our farm shop and bar.

- Operating the point of sale, processing transactions and taking food orders.

- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

- Engaging with customers, recommending products and promoting our food, drinks and farm experiences.

- Restocking shelves, preparing stock for sale and maintaining fresh fruit displays.

- Packing apples, preparing fruit boxes and assisting with general retail stock preparation.

- Maintaining a clean and presentable venue, including clearing tables, emptying bins and cleaning amenities when required.

- Assisting with general opening, closing and daily operational duties.





- Potential opportunities to assist with farm tours and agritourism experiences for suitable candidates.

About You

We're looking for people who are approachable, dependable and genuinely enjoy working with customers.

Essential requirements:

- Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency.

- Previous experience in hospitality, retail or a customer-facing role.

- Solid communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

- Willingness to undertake a variety of duties, including cleaning, stock preparation and general venue upkeep.

- Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.

- Reliable transport to our Darkes Forest location.

Highly regarded but not essential:

- Barista experience.

- Experience working in a bar or food and beverage environment.

- Interest in local produce, cider, farming or agritourism.

We're happy to provide training to the right people, particularly in coffee preparation and our products and experiences.
