About The Role This contract opportunity is for an experienced Full Stack Developer to help design, develop and deliver complex digital applications. You will work across front-end and back-end development, databases, cloud environments and system integrations. The role also involves contributing to technical design, application architecture and development standards, while supporting the quality and ongoing operation of digital solutions.

You will collaborate with internal teams, external vendors and other delivery partners to address technical challenges and keep work progressing. This position is suited to a developer who can move confidently between technologies, communicate clearly with different stakeholders and contribute effectively in a complex, multi-team environment. The role is based in Parramatta, with work-from-home arrangements available.

Qualifications You will bring strong, hands-on full stack development experience and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle. Your background should include substantial backend development using Java and Spring Boot, along with front-end development using JavaScript and TypeScript. Experience with Node.js and developing applications within AWS environments is also required.

You should have robust experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, as well as APIs, integrations, database connectors and CI/CD environments. The ability to contribute to technical designs, review code, document solutions and support testing and deployment activities will be important.



Relevant tertiary qualifications are welcomed; equivalent professional knowledge and experience will also be considered.

Experience in government, justice, courts, tribunals or another complex, regulated environment would be advantageous. You should be comfortable working through technical and delivery issues with a range of teams and be able to adapt your approach to project requirements and established standards.

Responsibilities In this role, you will develop and maintain full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js. You will design and implement solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases, develop applications in AWS and build or support APIs, integrations and database connectors.

You will produce detailed technical designs and contribute to application architecture, shared development standards and reusable utilities. You will develop complex application functions, participate in code reviews and maintain fit-for-purpose technical documentation. You will also work with internal teams and vendors to resolve complex technical or delivery issues.

Across the software delivery lifecycle, you will contribute to CI/CD processes, testing, deployment, release activities and operational support. You will collaborate with colleagues to help ensure applications are reliable, maintainable and aligned with organisational requirements.
